Delhi woke up to clear skies on Saturday, with the IMD forecasting sunny days for the next few days.
Safdarjung, representative of the city’s weather, recorded a minimum temperature of 23.2 degrees Celsius, 0.9 degree above the normal and same as a day before.
Other weather stations also recorded a similar minimum temperature.
Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 22.6 degrees Celsius, Lodhi Road 22.4 degrees Celsius and Ayanagar recorded a minimum of 22.8 degrees.
“Mostly clear skies are expected to persist for the next few days,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
According to the IMD forecast, the maximum is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius.
The air quality index (AQI) of the city remained in the ‘moderate’ category on Saturday morning and was recorded at 170 at 9 am, as compared to the 24-hour average AQI of 174 (moderate) recorded at 4 pm on Friday, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
