Parts of Delhi witnessed light rain on Tuesday morning as cloudy skies hovered over the national capital, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported.
Waterlogging was reported from parts of south Delhi and southwest Delhi.
A yellow alert has been issued for the next few hours, signalling residents to remain cautious of possible weather disruptions.
The minimum temperature settled at 26°C, while the maximum is expected to touch around 35°C later in the day. Thunderstorms accompanied by rain have also been forecast by the weather office.
Humidity levels remained high at 83% as recorded at 8:30 AM, adding to the muggy conditions across the national capital Delhi.
Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality was categorised as “moderate” with an Air Quality Index (AQI) of 103, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). An AQI in this range (101–200) may cause breathing discomfort to people with lung or heart disease, children, and older adults.

The IMD’s yellow alert is part of its four-tier colour-coded warning system, where yellow stands for ‘be aware’, followed by orange for ‘be prepared’ and red for ‘take action’.
