The police in northeast Delhi on Friday said that they had recovered the decomposed body of a woman, believed to be around 30 years old, from the parking area of the Shastri Park Metro station.
According to a police official, the body appeared to be three to four days old and was severely decomposed.
A passerby discovered the body in the parking lot, which is connected to a nearby jungle area.
A police officer stated that they are currently reviewing CCTV footage and interviewing nearby residents to determine whether the body was thrown into the parking lot or if it was a result of natural causes.
The body has been sent to the mortuary for a postmortem examination. (With inputs from PTI)
