Meanwhile, Delhi government hospitals on Sunday conducted mock drills to deal with a spike.
According to reports, on Sunday, 153 cases were recorded at a positivity rate of 9.13%. According to experts, the positivity rate, which has been hovering around 5% for the past three-four days, has risen suddenly because of low testing. Only around 1,700 tests were conducted.
The rise in Covid cases in Delhi has taken place amid a spike in H3N2 influenza cases across the country. Cases in the city had been on decline, with no case being reported for the first time since the pandemic began, on January 16 this year. ( With inputs from PTI)
