Musical alliance


What: Immerse yourself in an evening of seamless music this weekend. Habitat World presents the launch of Indo-Russian collaboration featuring Siddhartha Banerjee on classical veena, Asya Shivaya on flute and Saurabh Gogo on tabla. Drop in as the three of them come together with this unique collaboration for the first time.

Freeze frames


What: Capturing the contrast in three different cities of the world through its changing climate, here’s an exhibition of photographs – Living Climate: A Tale of Three Cities.
Photographer André Lützen focuses on three cities with stark variations in weather conditions — Kochi in southern India, Arkhangelsk in north-west Russia and Khartoum in Sudan. His photographs, which were taken between 2014 and 2017, seek to give an insight into how climate influences people and their ways of living. He has documented the climatic circumstances that define living situations

A split-up drama


What: Jab Khuli Kitaab is a family comedy-drama that follows a couple’s journey from desperately seeking divorce in their old age to the point where they are reunited. Gopal finds out his wife, whose health is in a critical condition now, had an affair in their younger days. Infuriated by her betrayal, he decides to file a divorce. Amid all this tension, Gopal’s anger slowly transforms into something unexpected. On one hand the play deals with the dysfunctionality of relationships and the societal pressures that affect married life, on the other hand it ignites hope for a fresh start.

Lit fest


What: For book lovers, yet another celebration of literature. The second edition of the Noida International Literary festival is back with the theme ‘One India’. The festival promises to bring together the best minds in the world of Hindi, English and regional literature. Over the span of two days, 24 events and activities will be held, including workshops, book readings, talks, panel discussions, debates, book launches and performances. Over 80 writers, artists, academics, scholars and publishers from India and abroad will be sharing their ideas. The festival will also give aspiring authors a chance to turn their dream into reality by providing them a publishing opportunity through its special initiative, I Am Author.

Best of shorts


What: Cinephiles in the city, get ready to see some fresh, original and powerful short films. The second Cine Premiere — Indie Shorts by Filmmakers Club of India brings together 16 short films. The event is to support and encourage young filmmakers and other professionals of the filmmaking fraternity from across the world to create original and impactful short films for the society and also give them awards as an appreciation for their efforts. Join in to meet and collaborate with other directors, producers and cinematographers. Entry is free but reserved for prior registration only.
