Exhibition: Payal Kapoor of Arushi Arts Gallery is presenting Blue Horizons at HARVEST 2024, Greater Kailash, New Delhi.

The organisers explained that blue has long been a symbol of vastness and peace, influencing both Western and Eastern cultures. With Blue Horizons as this year’s theme, the exhibition offers a poetic expression of life, the world, art, and the diverse hopes and desires of the human spirit.

“It represents our hopes and dreams. By uniting artists who share this vision, HARVEST 2024 will showcase works that inspire and resonate with viewers,” said the organisers.

The exhibition will feature a group of artists offering a unique perspective on the art world, gazing at the bustling modern world from the tranquil shores of a blue water pool, all set against a rich historical backdrop.

Blue was dominant in the West during the medieval and Renaissance periods but was also valued in Far Eastern countries and Indian art.

“Artists like Giotto, Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh have been inspired by blue, with Picasso’s Blue Period producing melancholic works like La Vie and Klein’s International Klein Blue redefining the role of colour in modern art. Henri Matisse has explored the possibilities of blue throughout history, shaping artistic narratives from ethereal to sentimental,” said an organiser.

The highlight of the exhibition is the work from artists participating in Harvest 2024, including KG Subramanyan, Satish Gupta, Prabhakar Kolte, Shobha Broota, Japani Shyam, Suraj Kumar Kashi, Lado Bai, Vinod Sharma, Bratin Khan, Faiza Huma, Purvi Sharma, Ahalya Rajendran, Yash Desai, Sachindra Nath Jha, and many more.

When: December 20, 2024 – February 10, 2025; 11 AM to 6 PM (except Sundays and Government Holidays)
