Delhi woke up to a warm morning on Friday, with the minimum temperature settling at 26.2 degrees Celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The weather office has forecast the possibility of very light to light rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds with speeds of 30-40 kmph, reaching up to 50 kmph during the morning hours.
The Palam weather station recorded a minimum temperature of 24.6 degrees Celsius and Lodhi Road logged 25.8 degrees Celsius. The Ridge station recorded a minimum temperature of 24.3 degrees Celsius and Ayanagar 25.6 degrees Celsius, IMD data showed.
The IMD has forecast partly cloudy skies during the day, with the maximum temperature likely to settle around 41 degrees Celsius.
Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 160, in the ‘moderate’ category, at 9 am, Central Pollution Control Board data showed.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.
