At a time when media is highly influenced by powerful people, and the rulers are the one deciding its orientation, Media Rumble is here to revive its lost legacy.
On the first day of the event, there will be discussions and sessions around caste diversity in the news rooms, international relations and the challenges faced by the civil society organization.
From the politics of identity to the need to look beyond the male gaze, Media Rumble with support of the Embassy of Netherlands is here to point out the occupational hazards with an insight to the lives of journalists – threats, intimidation and online abuse.
The second day starts with a special eye over the gender identity inside the newsroom. Special sessions are arranged on the topics of social media and twitter management. This has a special focus on increasing the visibility of journalists in the public domain.
Speakers such as Sophie Zhang, Kanchan Gupta, Sucharita Tyagi, Dhanya Rajendran, Akash Banerjee, C Rajamohan, Hartosh Singh Bal, and Meena Kotwal, among others, are all set to be there at The Media Rumble.
