Walk leader Bonny Kusari is hosting a heritage walk on April 22 at the Hauz Khas Complex. The walk will last for two-and-a-half to three hours and will be conducted in Hindi language.
The Hauz Khas Complex houses a water tank a mosque a tomb and pavilions around a medieval village with a history that dates back to the 13th century during the reign of the Delhi Sultanate. “Hauz Khas” is derived in Persian from the words “water tank” (or lake) and “Khas”: “royal”- a royal tank. The water tank or Lake was surrounded by several buildings (mosque and madrasa) and tombs.
Feroz Shah’s tomb pivots the L–shaped building complex that overlooks the tank. It is now a relatively expensive tourist cum commercial area with numerous art galleries upscale boutiques and restaurants. In this Walk We will visit and discuss all the hidden gems in the Hauz Khas village area and we will discuss the Delhi sultanate in detail.
The entry fee for the walk is Rs 450 (monument tickets included). Students of 15 Years or below are free from the charges.

– Attendees must wear proper walking shoes.
– Attendees should carry water bottles with them to avoid plastic waste.

How to reach
Everyone will meet near the deer park entry gate by 3:45 PM. The complex has adequate parking space in front of the deer park entry gate for those in their cars. The nearest Metro station is Green Park(Yellow line) Take an auto/sharing e-rickshaw towards Hauz Khas Village. Public buses and cabs are also an option.
