A solo exhibition titled ‘There’s a Way: Exploring Paths Through the Mountains’ by artist Namita Nirmal will be held at Triveni Kala Sangam, Tansen Marg from July 12 to July 20.
Art enthusiasts and nature aficionados will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Nirmal’s artistic exploration, as the exhibition will be open daily from 11 am to 8 pm.
Nirmal’s solo exhibition promises an unforgettable experience for art enthusiasts and nature lovers, offering a fresh perspective on the interplay between human existence and the grandeur of the natural world.
“I try and see the world from the point of view of a casual observer, and then find layers within that go beyond the obvious, layers that reveal themselves only on closer and prolonged observation,” Namita Nirmal told Patriot.
“My brushes on canvases are my meanderings as I traverse the landscapes – at times with my feet, at times with my mind,” Nirmal said.
She expressed how each progressive step has brought her nearer to her envisioned form of expression, wherein she establishes a deeper connection with the elements of nature and endeavors to bring others along on this creative expedition.
“The title of my solo show, ‘There’s a Way,’ stems from two significant aspects. Firstly, it encapsulates my approach to the series. The paintings of the formidable mountains, initially appearing unyielding and daunting, reveal the many ways that they allow one to navigate through them. The rivers, tracks, and paths within them offer seekers a means to draw closer,” she added.
“Secondly, the show marks a pivotal juncture in my journey. Despite my unconventional start as an artist, being here today demonstrates that there is always a way. It serves as a reminder that perseverance and determination can pave the path to success,” she further added.
