Desmania, an innovative design studio, is all set to showcase its prowess in designing railway equipment – the ‘Tapri Chai’ tea machine.
Named Daylii, the machine cooks tea just the way a tapri does.
Daylii, a one of its kind piece of art, will be presented at International Railway Equipment Exhibition – IREE 2023 at Stall 3.33, Hall 3 from October 12 to 14 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
It has been designed keeping in mind the Indian Railway landscape that thrives on tea for two reasons, the need of a staple hot beverage and the nostalgia attached to every time one hears the sound of ‘Chai Garam’ as the train halts.
With the advent of the concept of separate tea in the trains, the taste of one’s own preference of tea has diminished while considerably enhancing the carbon footprint brought about by all the packaging separate tea involves.
Daylii allows consumers to regulate the taste by altering its strength, sweetness and quantity of milk as per their preference at the click of a button letting out only compostable waste. What a delight to have one’s own tailor-made tea at every station!
The innovation will also allow Indian Railway network across the length and breadth of the country to support livelihood for many having been dedicated to those who believe in India Innovation story and the emotion of Make in India.
Desmania Innovation Labs is a brainchild of Anuj Prasad, Saurabh Singh and Abhishek Bhagat augmented by iconic legacy of Desmania Design.
