A solo art exhibition, “Swarna Dhara – The Flowing Golden River” by the artist Sonali Durga Chaudhari, is going to be held at Arpana Caur Fine Art Gallery New Delhi from November 14 to November 24.
Born and raised in the heart of New Delhi, India, Sonali Durga Chaudhari draws inspiration from her extensive travels in the Himalayan regions and the Upper Gangetic belt.
The event’s inauguration ceremony, slated for November 14th at 5:30 pm, will be graced by Chief Guest, Madhavi Mudgal, an eminent Odissi exponent and Padmashri awardee. Joining her as Guests of Honour will be Niren Sengupta and Paramjit Singh, senior artists and former principals of the College of Art, Delhi.
“My paintings depict the strength and beauty of nature. The power of nature in its untamed aspect fascinates me, and though most of us have forgotten it, we are an integral part of nature,” said Sonali Durga.
Having explored the Himalayas since her childhood, Sonali’s first encounter with the majestic Ganga left an indelible mark on her artistic soul. “That image of the golden river flowing in front of me is imprinted in my mind, like it was just yesterday,” recalls Sonali.
“The Sun rises on the horizon, spreading its rays over the glorious Himalayas. The flowing Ganga reflects the golden hue, and the bells of the temples come together expressing gratitude. Nature, Divine, and Human come together in the eternal flow of life,” said Robinson, who is curating the show.
