Delhi on Tuesday experienced a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, marking a deviation of two notches below the typical seasonal average, as reported by the India Meteorological Department.
Localised areas of Delhi were enveloped in dense fog, with Palam recording a visibility of 200 meters at 8:30 am.
The meteorological agency has projected moderate fog for the day, with the maximum temperature anticipated to reach approximately 20 degrees Celsius. Humidity levels stood at 95 percent at 8:30 am.
According to data sourced from the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), Delhi’s air quality was classified as ‘moderate,’ registering a reading of 147 at 9 am on Tuesday.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) scale categorizes readings as follows: ‘good’ for AQI between zero and 50, ‘satisfactory’ for 51 to 100, ‘moderate’ for 101 to 200, ‘poor’ for 201 to 300, ‘very poor’ for 301 to 400, and ‘severe’ for 401 to 500.
