Delhi: In a shocking incident in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped at gunpoint and pushed off the fifth floor of a building. The police reported the incident on Thursday, highlighting a disturbing case that occurred earlier in the week.
The assault took place on Monday when the accused reportedly forced his way into the girl’s home while her parents were away.
According to the police, the perpetrator then took the girl to a nearby building where he allegedly raped her. Following the assault, he pushed her off the fifth floor, resulting in severe injuries.
The victim was quickly transported to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment for a leg fracture sustained during the fall. Authorities have confirmed that she is undergoing further medical care.

In the aftermath of the attack, the girl received counselling from a CIC counsellor. During this session, she recounted her ordeal, leading to the filing of her statement with the police.
Law enforcement has registered a First Information Report (FIR) under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including 127 (2) for wrongful confinement, 65 (1) for punishment for rape on a woman under 16 years of age, and 109 (1) for attempt to murder. Additionally, charges have been filed under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
Police officials have said that efforts are underway to apprehend the accused, who remains at large. The case has sparked outrage and concern among the community, emphasising the urgent need for justice and protection for vulnerable individuals.
