The Indian Cricket Team, captained by Rohit Sharma, recently secured the ICC T20 World Cup title. However, the Indian captain attributes this triumph to three key individuals who played a pivotal role in the team’s success.
Rohit highlighted the contributions of Rahul Dravid, Ajit Agarkar, and Jay Shah, whom he referred to as his “three pillars of success.” Additionally, on a personal note, Rohit Sharma was honoured with the Men’s International Cricketer of the Year award.
Rohit Sharma’s leadership and exceptional batting performances were vital to India’s World Cup campaign, particularly during their matches in the USA and the West Indies.

Speaking at the CEAT Cricket Rating Awards, where he received the Men’s International Cricketer of the Year accolade, Rohit Sharma shared his vision for the team: “My goal was to transform the team and ensure that we focus less on statistics and results, and more on creating an environment where players feel free to express themselves on the field.”
Rohit credited this transformation to the support he received from Jay Shah, Rahul Dravid, and Ajit Agarkar, the chairman of selectors, describing them as his “three pillars.”
