Delhi will host “Anant Samagam”, a two-day cultural event on October 26-27, bringing together the distinct traditions of the Northeast and Kerala at Travancore Palace, a cultural centre of the Kerala government.
Organised by the non-profit Aalekh Foundation in collaboration with Amazing Namaste Foundation, the festival aims to promote cultural exchange, focusing on arts, crafts, tourism, and cuisine from these two regions.
The event, held during Diwali season, will feature a range of activities, including craft displays, food stalls, panel discussions, fashion shows, and live concerts. Participants include popular musicians such as K-pop artist Aoora, Kerala’s Avial and Sreenath Bhasi, and Northeast performers Sound from the Hills and Rudy and the Kool Kats. Handloom exhibits, pottery demonstrations, and food courts offering regional dishes will also be available to visitors.
Curated by Aalekh Foundation in association with Amazing Namaste Foundation, the festival has garnered significant support from both the government and private sectors, with equal enthusiasm. The Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) and the Handloom Department of the Ministry of Textiles have extended their support for the festival, recognising the potential of this event to promote our traditional weavers and artisans.
Dr Rennie Joyy, Managing Director of Aalekh Foundation, emphasised the event’s role in fostering cultural appreciation, aiming to encourage a deeper connection with India’s heritage. She highlighted the importance of showcasing traditional crafts and artisanal skills, aligning with the foundation’s mission to celebrate cultural diversity while fostering unity.

The event will also host a literary pavilion and cinema exhibition, with panel discussions featuring cultural figures. Fashion shows spotlighting designers from the Northeast and Kerala, such as Sonam Dubal, Sreejith Jeevan, and Daniel Syiem, will be held each evening.
The festival will run from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with concerts beginning at 7:00 PM on both days. Tickets are available exclusively on Zomato Live.
