Delhi Police apprehended five individuals, including four minors, for allegedly killing a 16-year-old boy and injuring another in southwest Delhi’s Kishangarh area, authorities said on Sunday.
One victim was found with multiple stab wounds and was declared dead, while the other received treatment for a gunshot wound, according to officials.
Police stated that Sanjay Mehlawat, aged 38, allegedly orchestrated the attack due to a dispute with the victims, enlisting teenage accomplices for the assault.
A senior police officer said a PCR call regarding a stabbing in Gaushala village was received at Kishangarh police station around 5:45 PM on Saturday.
“A team was dispatched to the location, where an empty bullet shell was found. It was noted that the injured individuals had already been taken to Safdarjung Hospital,” the officer stated.
The crime and forensic teams were summoned to inspect the scene, and Safdarjung Hospital confirmed the admission of two injured individuals.
Eighteen-year-old Saurabh Yadav suffered a gunshot wound to his back, while his friend arrived with multiple stab injuries and was pronounced dead.
Yadav informed police that upon arriving in the Gaushala area, three attackers opened fire on them. Yadav was injured, while his friend was chased and stabbed multiple times, according to the officer.
Yadav alleged the attack was premeditated and executed on Sanjay Mehlawat’s orders, the officer said.

The accused face charges of murder and attempted murder under the Arms Act, as documented in the FIR.
Mehlawat was arrested, and four juveniles, aged 16 to 17, were taken into custody, the officer added.
