Traffic in central Delhi is expected to be affected on Tuesday due to a marathon being organized in celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary, an official advisory reads.
The advisory indicates that approximately 7,700 people will participate in the ‘Run for Unity,’ which is set to commence from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
Motorists are informed that the ‘Run for Unity,’ part of Rashtriya Ekta Divas celebrations, will be flagged off from gate number 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at 7:40 a.m. on Tuesday. With around 7,700 participants arriving by bus and car, traffic restrictions will be in place around India Gate and C-Hexagon from 6:45 a.m. until the event concludes, the advisory said.
The route will cover gate number 1 of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, pass through C-Hexagon, opposite Shahjahan Road, and reach the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Statue, as outlined in the advisory.
Traffic diversions will apply at Tilak Marg-Bhagwan Dass Road crossing, Purana Quila Road-Mathura Road crossing, Shershah Road-Mathura Road crossing, Dr. Zakir Hussain Marg-Subramanian Bharti Marg crossing, Q-Point, the Mansingh Road roundabout, Jaswant Singh Road roundabout, KG Marg-Firozshah Road crossing, and the Mandi House roundabout.

In the spirit of celebrating national unity, Delhi citizens are urged to cooperate to facilitate smooth traffic management around C-Hexagon, the advisory concluded.
