As the crisp winter air gently envelops Delhi, Dastkar invites you to their Winter Mela—a celebration of handcrafted excellence that wraps us all in its cosy embrace. Dastkar, a not-for-profit NGO, is holding the twelve-day event at Nature Bazaar, Chhatarpur.
This vibrant event showcases an exquisite collection of woollens, colourful shawls, luxurious silks, and timeless Ikats, perfect for the festive season and beyond.
Whether you’re preparing for sparkling Christmas celebrations, searching for unique gifts, or refreshing your style for the New Year, the Winter Mela promises something special for everyone.
“This winter mela, we bring to you a curated collection of handcrafted treasures with over 100 skilled artisans, designed to complement this spirit,” an organiser said.
The key highlights in the woolen category will be knitted sweaters and cardigans, capes, jackets, gloves, socks, mufflers, shawls, stoles, and mufflers in Soof, Aari, Kutchi, Kullu, and Kani work, as well as Pherans in tilla and Aari embroidery.

In the silk category, Tussar, Banarasi, Shibori, and Ikat sarees, dupattas, and suits will be featured.
The event will also showcase durries and carpets, macrame bags and accessories, pine needle basketry decoratives, cold-pressed hemp seed oil, embroidered dresses, crewel embroidery home furnishings, and much more.
The food court at the event will feature delectable dishes from all over the country.
Established in 1981, Dastkar’s core focus is on uplifting traditional Indian craftspeople and craft by bridging the gap between traditional rural artisans and contemporary urban consumers. It strives to bolster the position of crafts through support services, acting as a consultant, trainer, designer, evaluator, and resource provider to craft groups.
