Samarpan Kala Kendra, an institute focused on Indian classical arts, will hold its annual event, Samarpan Utsav 2024, on December 25. The event will take place at the Kamani Auditorium on Copernicus Marg, Mandi House, starting at 6 PM.
The program will include various performances by students and teachers, along with some guest artists. The evening will feature traditional Kathak and Bharatanatyam dance performances, including pieces like Kanha Re, Guru Charnan, Varnat Chavi, Baje Re Bansi, Teen Taal, Jatiswaram, Thumri, Shankara Tarana, and Jhulat Radhe. These performances will be presented by the students under the guidance of their teachers.

The event will also be attended by several special guests, including Jaikishan Maharaj, a respected artist of Indian classical dance; Ruby Mishra, a well-known performer and teacher; Rajershi Kumar Kasudhan, Head of Performing Arts at Mewar University, Chittorgarh; and Ajit Gupta, Chairman of Park Group of Hospitals.
Samarpan Kala Kendra was founded in 2014 by Ritu Gupta, a Kathak teacher, with the goal of promoting Indian classical dance and music. Over the years, the institute has also included Bharatanatyam and classical music in its programs. Under the leadership of Brijesh Gupta, the institute has grown and continued its focus on providing quality training in these traditional art forms.
Samarpan Utsav is an opportunity for students to perform and show what they have learned. The event also highlights the work of the institute in teaching and promoting Indian classical dance and music. It is open to anyone interested in enjoying the performances and learning more about the art forms.
