IMD predicts strong surface winds in Delhi today

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 15.6 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, which is 2.2 degrees above the seasonal average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD reported a relative humidity of 70% at 8:30 AM and predicted strong surface winds during the day.

Air quality in the capital remained in the ‘moderate’ category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 148 at 12:30 PM. As per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between 101 and 200 falls under the moderate range, while levels between 201 and 300 are classified as ‘poor,’ and readings above 400 are considered ‘severe.’

On Monday, Delhi’s maximum temperature climbed to 31.4 degrees Celsius, exceeding the seasonal average by 3.7 degrees. The minimum temperature stood at 9.6 degrees Celsius, 3.8 degrees below normal. The relative humidity fluctuated between 75% and 36% throughout the day, IMD data showed.
