Gallery Silver Scapes is set to present ‘Echoes’, a solo exhibition by acclaimed visual artist and bestselling author Anurag Anand, from August 13 to 18 at LTC, Bikaner House. Showcasing nearly 60 evocative artworks in mediums including acrylic, charcoal, oil, and watercolour, the exhibition offers a deeply introspective journey through moments of stillness, vulnerability, and memory.
Anand, a self-taught artist and corporate professional, has developed a unique style that straddles abstraction and realism—work that he describes as “instinct guided by memory.” “I paint to understand myself, to process the quiet turbulence that often goes unnamed,” he says. “There is no aesthetic orthodoxy, only honest expression. My art is rooted in life’s contradictions, its unresolved moments.”
From crooked balconies and forgotten animals to glimpses of urban and rural life, Anand’s paintings serve as vessels for personal stories and emotional resonance. Some of his standout works in the exhibition include Eternal Banaras, Searching for the Divine – II, Autumn Breeze, Harmony, and Goa Sunshine—each a visual narrative anchored in nostalgia and reflection.
Curated by Vikram Mayor, the show underscores the artist’s capacity to make the personal universal. “Anurag doesn’t paint what he sees, he paints what he remembers feeling,” says Mayor. “These are not just paintings—they are emotional landscapes. His work offers us a mirror, a moment to reconnect with our own blurred memories.”
