Panic gripped parts of southwest Delhi on Monday after three schools in Dwarka received bomb threat e-mails, prompting immediate evacuation of students and staff.
The threats were reported from Delhi Public School, Modern Convent School and Shree Ram World School, police officials said. Multiple teams of the Delhi Police, along with the bomb disposal squad and dog squad, were rushed to the campuses. Cybercrime units are working to trace the origin of the e-mails.
“A search operation is underway at the schools,” a senior fire official confirmed.

The incident triggered a sharp political response. Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal hit out at the BJP, alleging that the party’s “four-engine government” had failed to ensure safety in the capital.
“Several schools in Dwarka, including DPS, once again received bomb threats today. Schools in Delhi keep receiving such threats repeatedly, but no one has been caught and no action has been taken,” Kejriwal said in a post on X. “The BJP can neither manage Delhi nor maintain law and order.”

AAP leader and Education Minister Atishi echoed the criticism, saying children and parents were living in constant fear. “The series of threats to schools is not stopping. What exactly is the Delhi Police doing? The BJP’s so-called four-engine government has failed to provide security,” she said on X.
AAP leaders use the term “four-engine government” to refer to the BJP holding power at the Centre, in Delhi through the lieutenant governor’s office, in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, and in neighbouring states.
