The LaLiT New Delhi hosted the second edition of Viva La Vino, a multi-city wine festival that drew more than 300 visitors on Saturday, according to organisers.
The Delhi leg of the festival featured over 90 wines from Indian and international producers. Visitors took part in a walk-around tasting that included pairings with artisan cheese, gourmet food and craft chocolate from brands such as Naviluna, Pascati and Darkins.
The event also included live music and a sommelier-led masterclass for a limited group of attendees, who participated in a guided tasting session using Lucaris Crystal stemware.
Viva La Vino, co-founded by sommeliers Gargi Kothari of Magic Cellars and Devati Mallick of Drink With D, aims to promote accessible and community-oriented wine experiences. “The response in Delhi has been incredible. Seeing guests explore and enjoy wines in a relaxed setting is exactly why Viva La Vino exists,” Kothari said after the event.
Charles Joseph Donnadieu, corporate sommelier at The LaLiT, said this year’s edition brought together wines from around the world alongside curated food and music. He added that the hotel aims to position itself as a leading venue for wine-centred events.
Following its Delhi stop, Viva La Vino Season 2 will continue to other cities as part of its multi-city tour promoting wine appreciation across India.
