The world’s first vegetarian certification conclave, SATCON 2026, concluded on Monday at Le Méridien, New Delhi, bringing together more than 250 participants from India and abroad. Organised by Sattvik Certifications, the one-day event aimed to strengthen vegetarian food standards and promote ethical, safe, and verified food practices.
Delegates from seven countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, UAE, Qatar, and South Korea, attended the conclave, which focused on three themes: Consciousness, Connect, and Collaboration. Panel discussions covered vegetarian certification, ethical culinary practices, luxury hospitality offerings, and global food standards.
The event was attended by key dignitaries, including Shri Santosh Gangwar, Governor of Jharkhand; Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State; BL Verma, MP; Bansuri Swaraj, MP; and Vagish Pathak, Chairman of Sattvik Certifications. They highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry, certification bodies, and policymakers to build trust in food systems.
Bansuri Swaraj said, “SATCON 2026 reflects a commitment to purity, transparency, and accountability in food systems, strengthening consumer trust.” Vagish Pathak added that vegetarian certification “is no longer niche—it is becoming a global necessity.”
Industry leaders from Goldiee Masale, Nakoda, SWAD, Bikanervala, Tirupati Food, Tanshu Australia, Sapphire Blue, and Blue Tribe Foods also participated, sharing insights and collaborating on solutions for safer and more transparent vegetarian and vegan food options.
Sattvik Certifications said it plans to build on SATCON 2026 with follow-up initiatives and future programs, reinforcing its focus on ethical and trusted vegetarian food practices under the philosophy #SattvikHaiToShuddhHai.
