Showcasing original works by emerging artists, the exhibition features paintings, sculptures, mixed media and experimental practices exploring themes of identity, memory, nature, urban life and contemporary culture

Emerging Visions, a student art exhibition presented by the National Institute of Fine Arts, will be held at the Main Art Gallery, Bikaner House, from June 12 to 16. The exhibition brings together original works by students from the institute’s Diploma and Degree programmes, offering a glimpse into the ideas, experimentation, and creative practices of emerging young artists.

With a particular focus on Diploma students, the exhibition showcases works developed over months of study and preparation. Through painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, and experimental practices, the participating artists present works that reflect their individual perspectives, visual sensibilities, and evolving artistic identities.

The exhibition highlights the role of art education in nurturing independent creative expression. Each artwork represents a process of observation, discipline, exploration, and self-discovery, encouraging students to develop their own artistic language rather than follow established conventions.

Themes of identity, memory, emotion, human connection, nature, urban life, abstraction, and contemporary culture emerge across the exhibition. Together, the works reveal the diverse concerns and imaginations of a new generation of artists beginning their professional journeys.
