Delhi woke up to cloudy skies on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicting light rain through the day.
The minimum temperature in the capital settled at 27.3 degrees Celsius.
Strong surface winds with very light to light rainfall are likely during the forenoon and afternoon. Very light to light rain is also expected during the evening and night, the IMD said.
The maximum is expected to settle around 35 degrees Celsius, it said.
Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) remained in the ‘satisfactory’ category, with a reading of 73 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’, and 401-500 ‘severe’.
