More than 38.24 lakh loans worth Rs 50,366.41 crore have been sanctioned in Delhi under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) since the scheme was launched in April 2015, according to data tabled in the Lok Sabha on Monday.
The figures were shared by the Ministry of Finance in response to an unstarred question on the impact of the flagship scheme on micro and small enterprises, youth and women entrepreneurs.
According to the state-wise data, Delhi recorded 38,24,355 loan accounts with a total sanctioned amount of Rs 50,366.41 crore. Of these, 21,76,055 loans worth Rs 9,816.75 crore were sanctioned to women entrepreneurs.
The Centre said the PM Mudra Yojana provides collateral-free institutional credit to eligible individuals with viable business plans, including those in the informal sector. The scheme has helped expand access to formal finance and enabled a large number of borrowers to build credit histories.
Nationwide, more than 59.14 crore loans amounting to Rs 41.71 lakh crore had been sanctioned under the scheme as of June 2026, benefiting women, youth and other entrepreneurs across the country.
