Moderate rain likely in Delhi

Delhi is likely to witness moderate rain on Wednesday, with the maximum temperature forecast at around 35 degrees Celsius

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 28.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, with the weather office predicting moderate rain during the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department, Safdarjung recorded a minimum of 28.4 degrees Celsius, while Palam recorded 22.4 degrees Celsius, 3.8 notches below normal.

Lodi Road recorded a minimum of 27.6 degrees Celsius, 2.6 notches above normal, while Ridge recorded 23.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.

Ayanagar recorded a minimum temperature of 26.1 degrees Celsius, 0.1 notch above normal.

Palam recorded 64.2 mm rainfall in the 24-hour period till 8.30 am on Wednesday, while Ayanagar received 1.9 mm rainfall during the period. Safdarjung and Ridge recorded no rainfall, while rainfall at Lodi Road was marked as trace.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius, according to the forecast.

At 9 am, the city’s air quality index stood at 113 in the moderate category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to CPCB, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
