Delhi records a minimum temperature of 27°C, 1.4 degrees above normal, as light rain is likely from September 11 amid cloudy skies

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, 1.4 degrees above the season’s normal.

Among other weather stations, Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 24.4 degrees Celsius, 0.8 degrees below normal, while Lodi Road recorded 26.2 degrees Celsius, 1.2 degrees above normal.

Ridge recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 degrees Celsius, 1.7 degrees below normal, while Ayanagar recorded 26.3 degrees Celsius, 1.6 degrees above normal.

The maximum temperature is likely to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

Light rain is likely from September 11, with generally cloudy conditions expected over the city, the weather office said.

Delhi’s air quality remained in the moderate category, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 113 at 9 am, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

According to the CPCB’s classification, an AQI of 0-50 is considered ‘good’, 51-100 ‘satisfactory’, 101-200 ‘moderate’, 201-300 ‘poor’, 301-400 ‘very poor’ and 401-500 ‘severe’.
