Four people, including the owner and manager of a spa, were arrested and eight women were rescued after police busted an alleged sex racket operating from a spa in central Delhi’s Paharganj, officials said on Tuesday.
The raid was conducted at the second and third floors of a property in Multani Dhanda on Monday evening following a tip-off about an alleged illegal activity being run from the premises, they said.
The arrested accused have been identified as Vivek Kumar, 27, owner of spa; Dashrath Mandal, 36, the manager; Aman, 20; and Guddu Karmakar, 27, police said.
Acting on a tip-off, police formed a team and deployed a sub-inspector as a decoy customer to verify the information.
After the alleged illegal activity was confirmed, the police team raided the spa around 7 pm on Monday and rescued eight women from the premises, they said.
The rescued women are aged between 22 and 34 and are from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal and Nepal, police said.
Relevant evidence was taken into police possession during the raid, officials said.
During interrogation, the accused allegedly disclosed their involvement in running and facilitating the illegal activity from the spa premises. Police are questioning them to ascertain the duration of the alleged racket and identify other persons involved, they said.

An FIR has been registered at Nabi Karim police station under relevant sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
Further investigation is underway to establish the complete network and ascertain the role of other persons allegedly involved in the racket.
