A 50-year-old woman and three of her family members, including two minors, were injured after a bus allegedly hit them while they were crossing a road in Paschim Vihar area of outer Delhi, an official said on Monday.
The incident took place around 6 pm on Sunday near the Multan Nagar on Rohtak Road when the victims were crossing the road. A cluster bus allegedly driven rashly struck the pedestrians, he said.
The impact caused Nirmala Devi (50) and her accompanying family members to fall on the road, resulting in injuries, a senior police officer said.
The injured were initially taken to a private hospital in the area for treatment and were later shifted to another medical facility, police said.
One Nisha (23), and two minors also sustained minor injuries and were sent to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital for medical examination.

Police said after the accident, they apprehended the bus driver at the spot. The bus involved in the accident was also seized for further investigation.
“The accused driver was identified as Irshad Ali (28). A case has been registered and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events leading to the accident,” the officer said.
