Delhi: A 31-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his neighbour in east Delhi’s Trilokpuri area over a dispute regarding electricity theft, police said.
The incident occurred on Wednesday when an argument erupted between two families. Surender’s family, led by the 51-year-old Surender, accused their neighbours—60-year-old Mahesh and his sons Vikas and Abhay (33)—of stealing electricity from a nearby temple to charge their electric scooter, police said.
The argument quickly escalated, leading to a physical confrontation. During the altercation, a member of Surender’s family went inside their house, grabbed a knife, and in a fit of anger, stabbed Vikas. He also injured Mahesh and Abhay, police said.

Vikas sustained a fatal stab wound to the lower chest and was initially taken to LBS Hospital. He was later transferred to Safdarjung Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to a senior police officer.
Mahesh and Abhay received minor injuries during the attack, the officer said.
Police have arrested Surender, his wife Charanjeet Kaur, and their children, Prem (18), and a minor. An FIR has been registered under sections 103(1) (murder), 109(1) (attempt to murder), 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), and 118(1)(3)(5) (causing hurt by dangerous weapons) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
Further investigation into the incident is ongoing, authorities stated. (With inputs from PTI).
