Following the stabbing of 17-year-old girl in Tilak Nagar on Thursday, the police have arrested one more person, the officials said.
The Class 12 girl was injured by a 22-year-old Shivam, who had been “annoying” her for weeks after a quarrel. Shivam was arrested the same day.
Another person, a man named Shagun, 20, has been arrested in connection with the case. Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Ghanshyam Bansal said that Shagun helped Shivam to flee the crime spot.
The girl had lodged a complaint against the accused two months ago and the accused gave in writing that he will not pester her. However, the accused threatened the victim just after the complaint, a family friend of victim said on Thursday.
The girl is in hospital for treatment, the police informed.
