The Delhi Traffic police on Friday issued a traffic advisory ahead of protests by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supporters following the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday.

The Delhi traffic police advised commuters to avoid DDU Marg, IP Marg, Vikas Marg, Minto Road, and Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg on Friday. Due to proposed protests in these areas, DDU Marg is closed off and traffic is expected to be unusually heavy in the others.

The AAP leader was apprehended from his Delhi home on Thursday night by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) regarding the Delhi excise policy case, triggering significant backlash from the AAP and other Opposition figures.

AAP has rallied for nationwide protests, with key party figures such as Bhagwant Mann arriving in the national capital on Friday.
