In a tweet directed at the central government following the CBI raid at his place, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the investigative agency didn’t find anything against him or his involvement in the excise policy laundering case. He further claimed that the CBI has issued a lookout notice against him, terming the action a “drama”.

However, CBI sources have stated that they haven’t issued any lookout notice against the AAP minister. Sisodia further stated in his tweet that he is “roaming freely in Delhi” and is ready to come at any “appointed place”. He also asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi if he is unable to find him.

On Friday morning, the CBI had raided Sisodia’s residence, besides 30 other locations, in connection with the irregularities in the Delhi government’s Excise Policy 2021-22. The CBI has registered in FIR against 13 people, including Sisodia, regarding the irregularities in implementing the excise policy.

The excise policy was withdrawn by the Delhi government after Delhi Lieutenant Governor  V K Saxena recommended a probe by CBI  into the alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses in the implementation of the excise policy that came into effect from 17 November  last year.
