Delhi: A fire broke out in a clothing factory in Delhi’s Udyog Nagar industrial area early Sunday, an officer said.
According to fire department officials, the incident was reported around 5.25 am.
A total of 10 fire tenders were rushed to F-11 address in Udyog Nagar.
There were no casualties, the officer from the Delhi Fire Service said.
“The operation is still underway. Efforts are on to prevent any re-ignition. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained,” the person said. Preliminary information suggests the fire started in the storage section of the garment unit.

Delhi fire: Two teenagers were charred to death, while four sustained burn injuries in a blaze that broke out at an e-rickshaw charging and parking station in Ram Nagar area of Delhi’s Shahdara on Sunday morning, officials said. Brijesh, 19, and Maniram, 18, both natives of Tikamgarh district in Madhya Pradesh, perished in the fire, police said. The two were asleep when the fire broke out and got trapped inside. Their charred bodies were recovered from the debris after the fire was brought under control, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam in a statement said.

Palam gauged 68.1 mm of rain, Pusa 71 mm, Mayur Vihar 48 mm, Narela 30 mm, and Delhi University 29 mm.
