Delhi Fire: A factory was gutted in a fire in the timber market in outer Delhi’s Rajdhani Park area overnight, the Delhi Fire Service on Tuesday said. No one was hurt.
A fire at a wood factory, spanning more than 200 square feet, was reported around Tuesday midnight, an officer said.
“We rushed more than 20 fire tenders to the site. The fire was doused at 3.20 pm,” he added.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.

SC directs Delhi authorities to pick up stray dogs, keep them in shelters
Terming the stray dog menace in the city as “extremely grim”, the Supreme Court on Monday directed the Delhi government and civic bodies to start picking up strays from all localities at the earliest and keep them at dog shelters.
While passing a slew of directions to tackle the menace of dog bite incidents, the court warned that if any person or organisation comes in the way of picking up of stray dogs by the authorities, strict action will be taken against them.
A bench of Justices J B Pardiwala and R Mahadevan said as of now, the dog shelters be created to accommodate around 5,000 stray dogs and sufficient personnel should be deployed there to sterilise and immunise the canines.
1,148 forms in AIIMS, Delhi under process for issue of disability certificates: Nadda to RS
AIIMS: One thousand one hundred forty-eight applications are under process in the Paediatrics Department and 755 in the Psychiatry Department of AIIMS, Delhi for the issue of disability certificates and unique disability ID (UDID) cards, the Rajya Sabha was told on Tuesday.
These total 1,903 applications include those relating to people with intellectual disability.
Responding to a question, Union Health Minister J P Nadda said that disability certificates to Persons with Disability (PwD) in the Neurosciences Centre at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi are issued after clinical assessment by a Medical Disability Board, one each in the Department of Neurology and Neuro Surgery, constituted for the purpose.
