As per the officials, the Delhi government is running Covid-19 vaccination camps at places receiving a high number of people such as metro stations, markets, malls, Kanwar yatra camps and areas near liquor shops.
There has been a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases in Delhi and medical experts have emphasised on the vaccination of those who are still unvaccinated.
The officials also stated that the number of inoculation centres have been raised from 60 in early July to over 140 now.
A senior official at Delhi health department told the news agency PTI that they are aiming to maximise the vaccination coverage which include many outreach programmes such as door-to-door surveys to achieve good results.
The officials also stated that the camps are also being held for a day or so in residential areas in association with RWAs.
“We want maximum vaccination coverage and if a section of people is not coming to immunisation centres, we will go to them,” the senior official said.
