The Delhi Metro’s Sarthi app has crossed one crore downloads and is now being opened around 8.2 lakh times every weekday, as the digital platform brings ticketing, public transport information and a range of everyday services together on a single platform.
The app has also recorded close to 20 lakh views in the Delhi-NCR region in a month, according to the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Thursday.
Sarthi allows commuters to access multiple transport services, including Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses, train bookings through IRCTC, interstate bus bookings, NCRTC’s Namo Bharat and NMRC’s Noida Metro.
It said that the app also provides Metro maps, first and last train timings, parking information, details of station facilities, EV charging stations and battery-swapping stations, besides route guidance.
Beyond transport, the app offers services such as mobile recharge, medicine ordering, FASTag recharge and other utility payments. It also provides commuters with a virtual Metro card facility, the corporation said and added Sarthi has been designed to provide a seamless digital experience to commuters and reduce the need to switch between multiple platforms while planning and undertaking their journeys.
With transport information, ticketing and other essential services available at one place, the app is emerging as a digital mobility platform for commuters, it said.

The app is also expected to be useful during the winter months when Delhi-NCR faces significant pollution-related challenges, with people being encouraged to use the Metro more often and Sarthi for their ticketing requirements, it mentioned.
The DMRC added the app’s growing use establishes it as a reliable mode of ticketing for Metro commuters.
