Delhi Police has implemented special traffic arrangements to ensure the smooth movement of Republic Day parade rehearsals on Kartavya Path, according to an advisory issued on Wednesday.
The arrangements will be in effect on January 17, 18, 20, and 21, the advisory stated.
Traffic restrictions will be imposed at specific intersections, including Kartavya Path-Rafi Marg, Kartavya Path-Janpath, Kartavya Path-Mansingh Road, and Kartavya Path-C-Hexagon, between 10:15 am and 12:30 pm.
Commuters travelling between north and south Delhi are advised to use alternative routes such as Ring Road, Sarai Kale Khan, I.P. Flyover, Rajghat, Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Attaturk Marg, and Kautilya Marg.

For those traveling from east to southwest Delhi, Ring Road via Vande Matram Marg is suggested.

Motorists heading to Vinay Marg, Shanti Path, or areas in New Delhi and beyond should consider alternate routes like Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, RML roundabout, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, or Park Street-Mandir Marg to continue their journey towards North or New Delhi,Delhi Police advisory added.
As a result, the traffic will be diverted. Consequently, congestion is likely to take place on these roads and motorists are requested to follow the directions of traffic police personnel. People are also requested to plan their journey in advance to avoid inconvenience, the advisory said.
