Following the incident, which took place around 12:30 am on Friday, a video of the assault surfaced on social media, leading to the arrest of four individuals, the official added.
“A video showing a police officer being assaulted by multiple men in Bhajanpura is circulating online. The officer, stationed at Bhajanpura police station and currently deployed with the Static Surveillance Team (SST) for election duty, was attacked while heading home late at night,” stated the police.
According to a senior officer, the PSI was riding his two-wheeler through a narrow lane when his motorcycle got stuck due to a car blocking his way.
