Delhi records minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius, air quality ‘moderate’

Delhiites woke up to a subtle nip in the air this morning as the minimum temperature settled at 11.2 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

Data from the India Meteorological Department (IMD) revealed that the relative humidity stood at 71 per cent.

The weather office has predicted a partly cloudy sky throughout the day.

At around 9 am, the minimum temperature remained at 11.2 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature expected to reach around 25 degrees Celsius.

On Monday, the national capital experienced a high of 24.9 degrees Celsius, which was three notches below the normal.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 122, categorising it as “moderate” at 9 am on Tuesday.

According to the AQI scale, a reading between zero and 50 is considered “good,” 51 and 100 as “satisfactory,” 101 and 200 as “moderate,” 201 and 300 as “poor,” 301 and 400 as “very poor,” and 401 and 500 as “severe”. (With inputs from PTI)
