Delhi Weather: Delhi recorded the warmest night of the season so far on Wednesday with the minimum temperature settling at 25.6 degrees Celsius, the Met office said.
The India Meteorological Department has forecast a partly cloudy sky and issued a yellow alert for heatwave conditions. The maximum temperature is expected to settle at around 40 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 51 per cent.
The air quality was recorded in the poor category as the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 9 am was at 233.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’, and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.

Delhi: Parents protest fee hike at private school in Dwarka
Delhi: A group of parents of children studying at a private school in Dwarka held a protest outside its premises on Tuesday, opposing a recent fee hike implemented by the institution. The protesters alleged that their children had been subjected to what they described as a “library arrest” for the past 25 days. One parent claimed that since March 20, the school management has been confining students inside the library during school hours. There was no immediate response available from the school authority over the fee hike and library arrest allegations.
Delhi: Youth stabbed to death by brothers over affair with sister
Delhi: A 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the Gokalpuri area of northeast Delhi, allegedly by two brothers over their sister’s affair with him, police said on Tuesday. Police have arrested the siblings, Shahrukh Khan and Sahil Khan, aged 19 and 20. An incident of stabbing in the Sanjay Colony of the area was reported at 9.14 pm on Monday. The victim was identified as Himanshu. A third, who helped the brothers with the crime, is still being looked for, a police source said.
