A day after the trail court granted bail to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his alleged connection with the multi-crore liquor scam, the Enforcement Directorate on Friday approached the Delhi High Court challenging the order.
Representing the ED, Additional Solicitor General (ASG) SV Raju, informed the Delhi High Court that the trial court’s order on Kejriwal’s bail has not yet been uploaded, leaving the conditions unknown.

ASG Raju mentioned that the ED had not been given a full opportunity to oppose Kejriwal’s bail application. He urged the High Court to stay the order and requested that the matter be heard at the earliest possible date.
The Delhi High Court has agreed to take up the ED plea seeking an urgent hearing on its appeal challenging the trial court order granting bail to Delhi CM.
Delhi HC stated that the file related to the case will come before the bench in 10-15 minutes.
The high court said till then the trial court order shall not be acted upon.
The ED has challenged a trial court’s Thursday order by which the AAP supremo was granted bail.

The ED had arrested Kejriwal on March 21, shortly after the Delhi High Court refused to grant him protection from arrest on his petition challenging summonses issued to him.
