Parts of Delhi witnessed rainfall today morning and the city’s minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The national capital recorded 13 mm rainfall till 8.30 am and the weather department has predicted generally cloudy skies with light to moderate showers during the day.
The heavy rain triggered waterlogging in several areas of the national capital. Visuals from Dwarka showed vehicles passing through waterlogged streets.
The meteorological department anticipates predominantly overcast skies accompanied by mild to moderate showers throughout the day.
The IMD forecasts the maximum temperature to reach around 34 degrees Celsius. At 8:30 am, humidity levels were at 96 percent.
As per data from the Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index (AQI) measured 151 at 8 am, categorizing the air quality as ‘moderate’. The AQI scale rates air quality levels from ‘good’ (0-50) to ‘severe’ (401-500), with ‘moderate’ falling between 101 and 200. (With inputs from PTI)
