The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall in the national capital and adjoining areas on Friday.
As per IMD, the expected minimum and maximum temperatures for the city are around 29 degrees Celsius and 39 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the moderate (102) category around 9 am, data from the SAFAR showed. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
The Safdarjung Observatory, which provides data for the city, reported a minimum temperature of 27.6 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity oscillated between 54 per cent and 92 per cent, it said.
The maximum temperature in the national capital on Thursday was 37.5 degrees Celsius, slightly below the average for this season. (With inputs from PTI)
