In his address from the Red Fort on the 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi outlined his vision for achieving the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ goal and the ongoing reforms under the NDA government. He emphasized that his administration is dedicated to transforming India and breaking away from the status quo with impactful reforms aimed at improving the lives of the middle class and the poor. Modi asserted that these reforms are driven not by political motivations but by a commitment to national progress.

During his speech, Modi honored the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters, stating, “The country is indebted to them,” and acknowledged their enduring legacy. He also expressed sympathy for those affected by recent natural disasters, extending heartfelt support to all who have lost loved ones.

Looking ahead, Modi highlighted the government’s ambition to transform India into a developed nation by 2047, stating, “Viksit Bharat 2047 are not mere words; they are reflections of the resolve and dreams of 140 crore people.” He underscored that this vision is shaped by the collective aspirations of the Indian people.
The Prime Minister shared insights into the public input received for the ‘Viksit Bharat’ initiative, noting suggestions to enhance India’s manufacturing sector, improve seed capital availability, and implement governance reforms. He also mentioned the importance of speeding up the justice delivery system and promoting traditional medicines.
Modi showcased achievements such as the Jal Jeevan Mission, which has provided potable water to 15 crore beneficiaries, and the global promotion of millets, referred to as ‘Shri anna.’ He expressed pride in the Indian armed forces’ recent successes and the government’s ability to meet rising public expectations.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to reform, Modi pointed to the strengthened banking sector as evidence of the successful path of reforms. “Our approach to reforms has become a blueprint for growth, not just a topic for debate,” he concluded.
