A prominent non-profit organisation focused on uniting the Indian diaspora for a more interconnected society has revealed plans to host a G20 Forum in New Delhi later this month.
The event, organised by Indiaspora, will span three days, starting from August 22, and will bring together influential voices from across the globe to discuss key issues related to India’s progress towards 2047.
In a media release issued on Wednesday, Indiaspora outlined the broad range of topics that will be addressed during the forum, including foreign policy, financial inclusion, climate change, gender equality, healthcare, philanthropy, entrepreneurship, sports, trade, and investments.
Sreekumar Nair, CEO of Indiaspora-India, emphasized the forum’s potential to create a lasting impact on a global scale and promote collaboration beyond boundaries. The event reflects the collective commitment of the Indian diaspora to drive positive change and create a meaningful legacy for future generations.
The three-day program will feature plenary and breakout sessions, providing a platform for thought-provoking discussions led by esteemed speakers from various fields. These speakers include government officials, policymakers, business leaders, entrepreneurs, sports personalities, artists, and philanthropists who share a common vision for a better world.
As India prepares to assume the G20 presidency, the Indiaspora G20 Forum becomes even more timely. Sanjeev Joshipura, executive director of Indiaspora, highlighted the significance of the forum in mobilizing 200 diaspora leaders from 25 countries to contribute to India’s journey towards 100 years of independence.
