JNU to hold students’ union polls on March 22 after four-year gap

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced that the students’ union elections are scheduled for March 22, with the results set to be revealed on March 24.

The last JNUSU elections took place in 2019.

As per the released schedule by JNU’s Election Committee, the tentative voter list will be showcased on Monday, with a window for corrections open until Tuesday.

Nominations from students can be submitted starting from March 14, and the final list of candidates will be disclosed on March 16, as per an official notice.

A University Governing Body Meeting (UGBM) is slated for March 20, followed by a presidential debate where candidates will engage with fellow students.

Voting is scheduled for March 22, with the vote counting set for March 24, followed by the announcement of results, as per the notice. (With inputs from PTI)
